Digitalis

In my weekly assignment I had to grade 3 digital stories of my choice. As I watched these Stories I noticed this one digitalis that relates to CSIHSIS Graduate Portfolio in Asia Society point of view. The title was Should You be Afraid of Snakes? by Austin, The ZooKeeper. In the story there are points where there are aspects where this author is Ready for College, & Skilled for Success in a Global Environment. The author is ready for college cause this 8 year old is able to Have the experience of achieving expertise by researching, understanding, and developing new knowledge about snakes and is able to create a Digital story on his own. Now this 8 year old boy is also skilled for success in a Global Environment by Using digital media and technology to research snakes and what they are capable of and snakes are part of the environment. In his presentation he talks about how snakes are afraid of us more then we are afraid of them. He also talks about how long they live.

Graduate Portfolio Reflection - Story 1

In a 150 words or more you will write an explanation of how how your project relates to our schools graduate portfolio. Open a new Google Doc and name it "Graduate Portfolio Reflection - Story 1". Review the CSI Graduate Portfolio and discuss which portions of the portfolio match the work that is reflected in your project. example - did it make you "academically prepared", "culturally aware", or a "21st Century Thinker" ? Explain in your writing.

My Project can be relatable to the CSIHSIS graduate Portfolio. In this Project I have many matches for my project that is in the graduate portfolio rubric. One example is in the Rubric it says Effective Users of Technology which is what is displayed in my project, i'm using a multitude of technological tools for communication, presentation and data analysis. I am also using Literate for the 21st Century which is Critically evaluating the presentation of information through various formats and technologies (media literacy). A last example is Academically Prepared because in one of the rules in the rubric it says it is intellectually curious, has a desire for life-long learning, thinks critically and effectively organizes his or her own efforts to learn. Whick in the video I am on a journey to a life-long learning in college to becoming the next dominican doctor. This Shows a reflection and how my Storytelling goes with my portfolio

Digital Story 2 Topic

Over the weekend, research and choose a topic for digital story 2. Keeping the graduate portfolio and rubric in mind, your project topic should reflect the elements of "global citizenship". Post an "intro" or thesis paragraph on your blog site, name the new post "Digital Story 2 Topic".

For My Research I picked The earthquake that happened in Haiti. The reason why I am doing earthquake in haiti is because that it effects people in haiti and they need our help The earthquake occurred at 16:53 local time on Tuesday, 12 January 2010. this project can relate to our CSI Graduate Portfolio? Because its Culturally Aware and Aware of World Events and Global Dynamics which is what we talk about in our Graduate Portfolio this also reflects the elements of "global citizenship"
